Anika Noni is an American actress and singer. Most famously, she is the vocalist of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the first African American Disney princess. She was named a Disney legend in 2011. Rose was in the role of Lorrell Robinson on the Academy Award-winning movie Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born June 6, 1972) is a vocalist as well as an American actress. Also, she is known for her work in theatre, specifically for the starring roles of Emmie Thibodeaux and Emmie Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performer Award was awarded to her as well as Beneatha Youther from the Broadway Revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) to which the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performance in a Musical was nominated for her.
