Anika Noni Rose, a native of the United States is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She is also known for her theatre performances, specifically due to her roles in the lead role of Emmie Thibodeaux in Caroline or Change, the Broadway show Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and Beneatha Younger as part of A Raisin in the Sun, the Broadway adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) where she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.

Pivarnick has been a reality television star in America since joining the popular cast on the M.T.V. show Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore in 2010, only for a couple of seasons.
